About 318 Collective Music
318 Collective Music is an ongoing, collaborative soundtrack of artists, songwriters, and creatives, sharing passion for good music, dynamic faith, and authentic community. With events and songs that speak to the present needs of our culture and world, the music serves the vision of 318 Collective, to be a voice for the voiceless- Proverbs 31:8. Creating and sharing music is the catalyst for conversation around the things that matter most.
The Vision
Six songs were all written in two days and then recorded on a third day- all in one weekend at Nashville’s most vibey studio Welcome to 1979. 318 Collective Music set out to capture a raw sound that represents the voices of different people coming together to collaborate and share their experience. Ranging from veteran artists to beginners, the songs on HOME (EP) not only bring something dreamy and cinematic for listeners to enjoy, but they show how art is born and develops.
When it came time to listen back, a clear theme emerged about place, searching and longing- for Home.

The debut single from the ‘Home’ EP, ‘Home’ is a contemplative, moody r&b memoir about getting back to what Home is all about - "connected, protected and known- a place where I feel like I'm home." Featuring Kirstie Fleur on vocals.

MEET ME IN THE MIDDLE
A powerfully emotive spoken word from Sharon Irving with a grand finale chorus "You'll forever be lifting me" arranged by Michael Walter - with groove and spirit hearkening back to the likes of Lauryn Hill. ‘Meet Me in the Middle’ is the second single from 318 Collective’s EP ‘Home’

NOMAD
When the unknowns of life intersect with the open mind, then collide with cosmic r&b tones- you get ‘Nomad.’ The third single from the ‘Home’ EP, ‘Nomad’ is powered by the vocal stylings of Nashville based artist Mei., featuring bars from JustinLee.

The Control Room at Welcome to 1979 is packed full with music history, from the robust vintage console to the numerous records filed along the walls with legendary albums. 318 Collective selected three of the original songs from our Song Creation Intensive, and recorded them single-take, family-room style, with everyone together listening, adding to the magic of the recording.
